Introducing the Hublot MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System Titanium, the latest marvel from the renowned Swiss watchmaker unveiled at LVMH Watch Week. This timepiece stands out as a delightful and elegant variant that’s pushing the boundaries of traditional watchmaking.
CEO Ricardo Guadalupe gave the designers and watchmakers free rein to unleash their creativity, resulting in the extraordinary MP-10. This watch breaks away from convention with its innovative vertical setup, seamlessly integrating the movement and dial in a striking design.
At first glance, telling time on the MP-10 may seem complex, but it’s surprisingly intuitive. The hour and minute displays, marked with red pointers and text, offer easy readability. Beneath them, the rotating power reserve display transitions from green to red, while the seconds display sits directly on the inclined tourbillon cage, a feat of engineering patented after five years of research and development.
What truly sets the MP-10 apart is its automatic winding system. Unlike conventional rotors, this watch features two vertical weights in white gold that move freely on a vertical axis to power the movement. To prevent any disruptive clanking, Hublot incorporated shock absorbers, ensuring smooth operation.
Crafted from microblasted titanium, the MP-10 boasts a sleek yet robust case, measuring 41.5mm wide, 54.1mm in height, and 22.4mm thick, with 30 meters of water resistance. The crystal covering three inclined planes adds to its complexity.
The integrated rubber strap, designed to complement the case construction, further underscores the watch’s meticulous craftsmanship. With 592 parts meticulously assembled, the MP-10 is a masterpiece of horological engineering.
Limited to just 50 pieces worldwide, each MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System Titanium is priced at $264,000. This exclusive timepiece embodies Hublot’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation in watchmaking, making it a coveted addition to any collector’s repertoire.
