Jeep enthusiasts, get ready for a new era in adventure as the iconic brand gears up to launch the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S electric SUV in the U.S. this fall. This groundbreaking addition to Jeep’s lineup combines the cherished Wagoneer-style luxury with cutting-edge EV performance.
The Wagoneer S, making its debut as a 2025 model, was initially showcased in 2022 alongside the Recon electric off-roader and the Avenger electric subcompact crossover. While the Avenger has already hit European roads as Jeep’s first EV, the Wagoneer S is set to make its mark in the U.S. before expanding to key global markets. This move positions the Wagoneer S as Jeep’s first globally offered electric vehicle, bringing a touch of American luxury and off-road prowess to enthusiasts around the world.
Designed to elevate Wagoneer-style luxury to a global audience, the Wagoneer S is not just about opulence; it’s about pushing boundaries with EV performance. Jeep promises a thrilling driving experience with an impressive 600 horsepower, a 0-60 mph acceleration in around 3.5 seconds, and the inclusion of the advanced 4xe all-wheel-drive technology.
The Wagoneer S is just the beginning of Jeep’s electrification journey, with plans to electrify its full-size Wagoneer SUV next year, introducing a series plug-in hybrid option that utilizes a gas engine to charge a smaller battery on the go. This technology mirrors the approach taken by fellow Stellantis brand Ram in its 2025 1500 Ramcharger. Looking further ahead, a battery-only full-size Wagoneer EV is slated to hit the market in 2027, according to information from a UAW document published last fall.
